The latest round of disinformation began during a town hall event in Wisconsin, where Musk and his DOGE team presented their findings on the rampant fraud and abuse they uncovered within the Social Security Administration. During the event, Musk made it abundantly clear that there would be no cuts to legitimate benefits. “I just stated as crisply and clearly as possible that DOGE will absolutely ensure that people get their Social Security, make sure they get that Social Security, make sure they get their Medicaid and will not be cutting any legitimate payments whatsoever. Crystal clear,” Musk said. “There will be no cuts to legitimate payments whatsoever.”
