Three American families are left devastated after an illegal immigrant truck driver caused a horrific crash that took the lives of their loved ones. But instead of demanding justice, nearly 2.5 million people signed a petition asking for mercy for the man responsible.
This petition has sparked outrage nationwide, exposing just how broken and upside-down our justice system has become.
The driver, Harjinder Singh, entered the U.S. illegally back in 2018. On the Florida Turnpike, Singh made an illegal U-turn in his 18-wheeler, causing his trailer to jackknife and crush a minivan. The three passengers inside were killed instantly.
Instead of staying to face the consequences, Singh bolted. He and a passenger fled across the country to California the very next day. It wasn’t until August 16 that U.S. Marshals finally caught up with him in Stockton and hauled him back to Florida. He now faces charges of vehicular homicide and manslaughter.
